Biography
My name is Mitihi Brownlee. I am a Graduate Master level clinician from Governors State University. I have experience servicing clients with a dual diagnosis background. I have worked with diverse clients that suffer from a mental illness as well as a substance abuse disorder. I have experience working with individuals within the Illinois department of corrections. Individuals that are currently incarcerated as well as recently released and reintegrating back into society. I have provided DBT and other therapeutic approaches in private practice, residential, and within the prison system.
Attention to mental health is essential to overall good health and well-being. Sometimes we seem to have it all together on the outside but are suffering on the inside. My goal is to help individuals and their love ones overcome difficulties associated with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. The common goal when working with clients is reducing and addressing barriers that get in the way of living a fulfilling life.
Together with other clinicians at Hyde Park Center for Healing I will be assisting with a women’s group in regards to covid-19 and it’s effect on our everyday lives. Please be on the look out for this upcoming powerful women’s group.
